Another good talk from TED. This one from J.J. Abrams. Great talk on the need for mystery in our lives…at least that is what I came away with.

Great article on Google. If you don’t read the entire article, at least read the last paragraph for a super quote on business.

I watched Who Killed the Electric Car? over a year ago, and still to this day every time I get into my car I think of this movie. Every time I turn the ignition I think that the US Automakers deserve every bit of financial hardship they have experienced these past few years. There, I said it and I mean it! I am becoming more of an environmentalist every day. Not the crazy types that would send...

Couch Potato Time may be coming to an end...
Right now, I am really enjoying some new shows on TV. The 2 I can’t get enough of are: 1. Man Vs. Wild A former British Special Forces Soldier is dropped into some of the most dangerous environments with as little as a watch, a flint, and a knife. His job is to find food, water, and his way back to civilization. As he does this, he shares tips with the viewers on how to survive...

I love technology...
I have heard of Skype for some time now, but I finally got around to taking a look at it today. Great deal since you can call any phone number in the US and Canada for $30 a year. I will basically use this as a 3rd phone line at the office and a backup to my cell when it goes dead or when I over my minutes.
"Lucky People"
The following excerpt is taken from: http://money.cnn.com/2006/08/21/pf/whatittakes_secrets1.moneymag/index.htm Jason exemplifies the traits that British researcher Richard Wiseman ascribed to lucky people in a 2003 article called The Luck Factor: “They are skilled at creating and noticing chance opportunities, make lucky decisions by listening to their intuition, create self-fulfilling...
Message In A Bottle...
When I had a severe case of cottonmouth for a few years I always had a water bottle within my reach. After awhile it became a natural accessory so much so I felt uncomfortable if I wasn’t holding onto a bottle. It became a security blanket of sorts. “What do you do with your hands when you’re just standing there if you don’t have a water bottle to hold onto?” “What do you do when you don’t have...

Pure Genius…
I will be the first to admit that I am a cheap-skate. I live for the chance to find bargains. I love discovering shortcuts. And now as a home-owner, I am understanding quite well the benefits of the Do-It-Yourself Lifestyle. One huge example of this was when I invested a small fortune in insulation to […] (via Priests, Philosophers, Poets, & Pimps)
Wii
Growing up, I loved playing Miniature Golf as a cheap & fun, playful yet highly competitive experience among friends. I even enjoyed a round of 9 at the local public golf course throughout my freshman & sophomore years of high school; but that was more for the ability to pretend I was Michael Knight and the golf cart was Kit. That sums up the extent of my golfing experiencing up until...
